my shih zue zoey had a littler of 4 puppies they all were fat and healthy but 1 he was very small skinny and cold we took him to the vet at 2 days old and the vet told us he had a cleft palate and that he probly wouldnt live snd the only thing that would save him was surgery but they have to be 3 to 4 months old for that. Well my sister and i looked all over the enternet for info to help him live to be 4 months old so he could get the surgery we found alot of goodwebsites of people that had puppies with cleft palates and the puppy survived. well he is now a week old and very active and is very sweet :) in this video i will show u some things to do. ( when feeding a puppy with a cleft palate hold the bottle straight up so it will go right down his throat and when there almost done eating let the puppy suck on your pinky finger and doing that will help any food that is in the cleft palate go down his throat make sure u dont have long fingernails and also burp the puppy because bottle feeding a puppy can get air inside so always burp and last make sure the puppy has a large stomach so u know he got food in ) thx for watching my video :)
