Back in September I headed into Pureora Forest Park with Jason (JC HUNTING). If you know Jason, you’ll know he’s a bloody weapon in the bush and someone who really knows his deer sign and tracking. In this video the goal is to try take some wild game on public land in the hopes of a red-deer, or pig or worst-case a wild feral goat in the native ngahere NZ Bush. I'm still a rookie hunter so I really took the opportunity to soak in as much info from Jason as possible. This video includes a bunch of tips and tricks related to tracking deer, under standing deer prints, deer droppings and other related game sign. Whether you're an experienced hunter or just learning out, I'm sure you'll take away some learnings from this video for your hunting and hiking adventures. I was hoping to put a wild red deer stag on the deck, and along the way Jason dropped a bunch of solid tips on deer sign, tracking and how he reads the bush in country like this.
