Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be making a pair of late 40s style cotton shorts as well as flipping through an Autumn 1941 Berth Robert fashion catalogue. The catalog is in great condition with only minor damage on the cover, and features fall garments for the back-to-school season. This particular brand sold their clothing items semi-made, intended to be assembled at home, saving money for the consumer. Berth Robert no longer exists, and from what I've seen online, most of their catalogs were issued in the 1930's through the early to mid 1940's. Don't quote me on that though, because I was too lazy to do any real research. Here's the shorts pattern I made in this video: https://www.etsy.com/listing/87735774... Some of the music in this video was composed and recorded by my friend Carter! (forgot to credit in the actual video oops!) He also has a channel with lots of music content, so feel free to check it out here: / @carterlam The rest of the music in this video came from the YouTube Studio Audio Library. The sweater pattern I referenced in this video: https://freevintagecrochet.com/spool1... Love the casual flex of my sewing pattern and catalog collection while I was talking about primary sources B) (also, the "'i love refrigerators' but make it Berth Robert" meme took way too much time lol) Thanks so much for watching! Feel free to subscribe for more fuzzy sock plushies, crochet, sewing videos, and whatever else I feel like doing. See you next time!
