Here, mornings were quiet and serene, forest walks were refreshing, and evenings meant soaking in a traditional Goemon bath heated by wood fire under a sky full of stars. During our stay, we explored breathtaking sights such as Kizetsu-Kyo Gorge, the Kishu Binchotan Discovery Museum, and Roadside Station Ryujin. Food lovers will enjoy the amazing local dining spots such as Monpetokuwa serving organically grown ingredients. We also picked up fresh local produce at local shops to eat back at the lodging. Ryujin mura is also part of the famous Kumano Kodo’s Okuhechi route, making it an ideal stop for hikers and cultural travelers.
