Leader Logic: Five stages of group development - Storming: What you can do to help We continue the Storming phase discussion, and I provide my own comments on what I think the role of a leader could be to resolve issues quickly, and develop priorities. Remember, no two situations are the same, adaptability is important! This episode is one of a series on the five stages of group development, a theory originally published by Bruce Tuckman, a research psychologist, in 1965. Tuckman originally identified four stages of group development: Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing. He later added Adjourning in 1977. I wanted to create this series of videos because Tuckman's theory is evident in a lot of the group work I see with new and established teams. Leader Logic shares tips and insights on modern engineering, planning and project and design management, from someone who's actually doing it. Think of it as part mentoring, part pep talk, part opportunity to learn something new.
