Home Eye Test _ If You Fail See an Eye Doctor

Today , we are going to do eye tests at home let's see if you can pass all the tests . And if you fail you need to see an eye doctor . Without wasting time we are going to do 5 eye tests Let's count down from number 5 to number 1 the last one is the most important but most most people fail . So make sure you don't miss it . 5. Astigmatic Dial test : for this test if you have glasses , go ahead and remove them . If you do that, now cover one of your eyes and look at center of this . What Do you notice? Are the lines clear vertically and horizontal or do you notice some of them some of them are not clear . Now cover the other eye and see again . Are they clear or not . If you notice some of the lines are not clear is a sign that you may have astigmatism which needs to be corrected glasses or contact or even laser 4 . Color vision test . Let's see how your eyes can see different colors . The same as the previous , cover one of your eyes , What number do you see here .... If you see .... You are right . ( 3 times ) What about this one and the last one what do you see here . Do see a number or just pattern . If see only pattern , no number, then you are right . So if you see any number different from the one we said in the first four or see in the last one 73 then you probably have some form of colour blindness . You can also do with the other eye of you want double check. 3. Color contrast sensitivity : Check which if any one of the colours from 1 to 10 is different from the others . Which one is that . Only the legend can identify this last one . Have seen seen all of them or just missed if so you Did Wonderful . People with optic nerve issues like multiple sclerosis who presented with optic neuritis have difficulty identifying contrasting colors especially red . They usually say red color look like pink to them . 2 . Let's go to second to the last test . Which is Armsler grid test . It's kinds of look like the first test we did but it's different . Cover one of your eyes as usual and look as the center . Are the lines straight and clears or Do you notice any line appear bent distorted, or wavy like this . If you notice that . That is a sign you may have age related macular degeneration which is an eye disease that affects your central vision or you may have other retinal issues such as retinal detachment . Go go to the last one which the most important one which is a test for glaucoma called : 1. peripheral field test . I want you to switch off your room light. Cover one of your eyes and if you are in a room and look at the center of this screen . can see a a dot . Keep looking at that dot . Other dots are going to be flipping out beside it . Make sure you don't move your eyes , count how many do you see . If you see 7 of them you are right . Some patients can't see some of the dots poping out by side due to glaucoma because it affects their side vision . What about you , how do you do ? .
