Fubara Swears In Commissioners, Describes Assembly Screening As ‘One Of The Most Rigorous’

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed confidence in the capacity of the five commissioners recently cleared by the Rivers State House of Assembly.  Governor Fubara spoke shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of the five commissioners at the Government House Port Harcourt. He said he has no doubt about their competence, noting that the screening exercise conducted by the Assembly was one of the most rigorous. According to him, those who successfully passed through the process have demonstrated that they were fit for the responsibilities of the office. The governor added that the thorough screening indicated that the nominees clearly understood the expectations of their new roles and were worthy of serving as commissioners. The newly sworn-in commissioners are Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Mr. Lekue Kenneth and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
