This Decoration Day, take a moment to appreciate an American classic, which was undoubtably heard by hundreds of thousands of soldiers who fought for their country during the American Civil War… “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” This Fife and Drum tune was filmed during a jam session on the original Ground of Chancellorsville Virginia, played by the renowned Carolina Fife and Drums, joined by the 3rd United States Volunteers Fife and Drum. The lead, and multiple Confederate musicians are members of the Broken Toys Mess. Thank you to the musicians, event staff, and the 1781 Brewery, for hosting this phenomenal event on the original Battlefield ground where General Jackson lost his arm.
