I remember when I saw this film for the first time, I was completely drawn in by this piece. It was one of those moments where I literally held my breath and sat on the edge of my seat. Hisaishi's brilliance, in combination with Miyazaki's, had me fully immersed. Soon after, I felt compelled to arrange it, and then I felt compelled to record it, and then I felt compelled to put it into a full video. It was a natural progression of events that ended up being a huge project taking several months, with no particular goal other than rendering this music in a way that does justice to the original.
