🩺 Surgical Operations — Real Healing in North Gaza Thanks to the support from our donors and partners, Seven Spikes Relief has implemented the Surgical Operations for Vulnerable Patients project in North Gaza. This urgent intervention brings essential surgical care to families who otherwise cannot afford it. What we delivered: • Urgent surgeries were identified and coordinated with local hospitals. • Procedures performed by qualified surgeons in accredited hospitals. • Types of operations covered include tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, ear tube (myringotomy) with tympanostomy, hernia repair, hydrocelectomy, orchiopexy (testicular fixation), lipoma/cyst removal, plate/screw removal, foreign-body and shrapnel removal, and tear-duct surgery. • Each operation cost estimate: USD 150. Total project budget: USD 15,000 (targeting up to 100 vulnerable patients, prioritizing children, women and low-income families). How people benefited: • Children regained hearing, breathing and sleep comfort after ear and throat surgeries. • Injured and displaced adults had painful foreign bodies, shrapnel, and hardware removed, reducing infection risk and restoring mobility. • Families spared catastrophic medical costs and given dignity and a chance to rebuild.
