This is Episode 5 of our Delhi to Nepal road trip series, and this one takes us deep into the heart of Bihar before we finally reach the Indo–Nepal border. We left Baidhnath Dham and chose a route that most travelers avoid—driving for 5–6 hours through narrow state highways, passing small towns, villages, and the real countryside of Bihar. This stretch wasn’t about speed; it was about patience, observation, and experiencing the road as it is. Along the way, we interacted with locals, asked for directions, and experienced the warmth and simplicity that makes road trips special. 🛣️ After that, we joined the Patna–Begusarai National Highway, where the drive felt smoother but the journey was far from over. 🏙️ We spent some time in Patna city, taking a short break before preparing ourselves for the final stretch of the night. 🌫️ What followed was another intense drive through dense fog, low visibility, and silent highways as we pushed towards Raxaul (Indo–Nepal Border). ⏰ We finally reached around 4 AM, tired but excited—knowing that crossing into Nepal was just one step away. This episode captures the raw reality of Indian highways, night driving challenges, rural routes, and the thrill of approaching an international border by road.
