People's Garden Video

The Rhode Island People's Garden Project is a partnership agreement between USDA-NRCS and the Rhode Island State Conservation Committee (RISCC) that administers the project with support and technical expertise from the RI Conservation Districts. The project aims to enhance community gardens throughout Rhode Island by providing educational and outreach opportunities to diverse communities including rural, suburban and urban areas to garden and raise fresh and healthy produce. The project also focuses on addressing food deserts throughout the state. RI People's Gardens help local communities to ensure the safety and improve the quality of locally produced fruits and vegetables and to protect and conserve our soil and water resources in urban, suburban and rural areas.
