I know last time I said I'd never touch the song again, but... frankly, I was just being dramatic. I knew the moment I got unsatisfied with my previous version, I'd give it another go. And, to be honest, I've kinda despised V4 since like a month after I created it. I was still learning how to mix tracks properly at the time, and you can definitely tell. It was somehow a weaker version of V3. The only reason I've waited so long to give this song another shot is that I wanted my words to at least mean something. I did say it'd be years before I covered it again, and, well... it's been a year. That counts, right? I think this is the best I can make this song for a very long time. I used literally every single skill I've learned over my short, almost 3 years of covering songs. Are there better versions of this song out there? Subjective, but likely yes. But is this enough to satisfy me? Also yes. Since the Last Breath team is trying to come up with a good replacement for AEE (they technically already have, but it got scrapped), consider this a... farewell, of sorts, to the single most iconic AU theme out there. Yes, I went that far. This is the song that made people start to know me, so it means a shocking amount to me. Whatever comes next, you'll always be the first, AEE.
