This weeks Deer Stalk was quite the experience. We were blessed with clear skies, frost and lots of deer activity. The first pair spotted us and ran off into the distance. We went after them but they didn’t stop and shot off over the hill and away from our area. The next 30mins we waited and managed to get site of some deer. They were 2 fields away and moving down a hedge row. This meant we had a small opportunity to go back on ourselves and around the field to cut them off and hopefully not be spotted thanks to the thick hedge. We grabbed the roe sack on the way and got a closer site of them down the hedge but unfortunately they didn’t stand and headed off again. This wasn’t the only opportunity and as you can see from the video, we have plenty of Roe Deer about. It just didn’t come right for us that morning, which happens sometimes.
