Becoming 50 as a Black Woman is teaching me that it’s okay to start new chapters, even in friendships. In today’s vlog, I met one of my followers in real life, and we had the sweetest day together. We went to Sephora, did a little window shopping, and had lunch with some amazing drinks and even better conversation. It felt so good to connect with someone like-minded in this season of life. I’m sharing this because women over 40 deserve to know it’s not “too late” to make new friends. Sometimes new friendships reflect who you are now, not who you used to be. And that’s a beautiful thing. We also had a real conversation about something I’ve been thinking about lately… Because this Becoming 50 journey is also about choosing ease, protecting my peace, and letting go of the belief that I have to do everything myself to be “that woman.” Sometimes the soft life is letting yourself be supported. If you’re a Black woman over 40 navigating a new season, craving deeper connections, and building a life that feels calmer and more aligned, this one is for you. ✨ Join the Becoming 50 series by subscribing, and let’s grow through this season together. Question for you: Have you made a new friend as an adult? And would you ever hire a cleaning service to free up your time and give you peace of mind?
