I arrived at the zoo when it opened and saw our precious cubbie up in his tree asleep already! Pandas are such magnificent and adorable creatures, I'm always in awe when I see them. It was so unreal, he's even more beautiful and breathtaking when seen up close in person. He slept for 3 hours. Once he awoke, started scratching cleaning himself and moving around, the crowd expressed such delight! After a few minutes of groggily lolling on his back, he finally climbed down and went inside. All of us rushed to the indoor habitat viewing area where Xiao Qi Ji found Mei asleep. He woke her and proceeded to give her many love bites, and let her know he was hungry. Like the best panda mommy, she nursed him and he was content. Apologies for the shaky footage at the beginning mostly! I was literally shaking when I arrived and had trouble holding the video camera steady. Wish I could have shot more footage but we could only be in the indoor habitat for 10 minutes & then had to exit. Just grateful that I was able to visit & it was a fun day with other panda lovers! 😍❣🐼🐾🎊🥳
