Sak Yant Chiang Mai is a co-operative of over 10 different Monks and Ajarns who have come together to make getting a Sak Yant Tattoo in Chiang Mai (Thailand) easy. You can find out more at https://www.sakyantchaingmai.com In this video is Sak Yant Monk Eak provides a Monk Temple tour quest with the Sak Yant Experience in his Temple about 40km north of Chiang Mai. The Monk Temple Tour for a spiritual Thai tattoo is about 3-4 hours. Monk Eak also comes into our old city location once a week to provide Traditional Tattoos with our In-house service Sak Yant Chiang Mai started as a tour only service in 2016 by Nana Boonkoom, taking guests out to Temple Monks and Ajarns. Khun Nana quickly established herself as different from other services as a Thai person whose focus was representing the tradition and not profit; as her services were much less than other companies. At the suggestion of a few of the Sak Yant Masters, in November of 2016 a physical location was created so that Sak Yant guests could come in, ask questions and get prepared before getting a traditional Thai Tattoo. Many of the independent Monks and Ajarns could see a need with the growing interest in Sak Yant to have a place where western guests could be educated in the process and meanings. Many of them joined the co-operative and come in to provide Sak Yant's at this location in addition to their own independent locations. While Sak Yant Chiang Mai is not the only Spiritual Traditional Thai Tattoo Tour service, it is the only place in Chiang Mai where the Monks and Ajarns feel comfortable providing Thai Tattoos outside of their own Temples and Samnaks. Sak Yant Chiang Mai offers both tours to the Monks and Ajarns at their temples, and the very same Monks and Ajarns also provide their skills in the Old City.
