8813 The Power of Sawdust: Enhancing Growth Through Mulching and Tree Care

12 July 2025 Welcome back to the property! Today (12 July 2025) was one of the most productive days of the year. I spent the full day taking care of the newly planted trees, the older trees, and especially the row of Polonia trees. Here’s what I worked on today: 🌱 Mulching with sawdust – brought in from the sacks I stored last year 🌿 Weed removal around the young trees 💧 Moisture retention using sawdust and leftover weeds 🪣 Measuring mulch with a 5-liter bucket for consistent coverage 🧴 Spraying fertilizer on the leaves (liquid NPK foliar fertilizer) ✂️ Cutting the grass and saplings around the plantation and the Polonia row 💦 Evening watering session – 10 liters per tree, 20 liters for Polonias Throughout the day I also fixed issues with torn sawdust bags, transported everything with the wheelbarrow, sprayed herbicide where needed, and cleaned the plantation rows. It turned into a very long, very productive day, but the trees look much healthier already.
