Case Presentation: Neglected Broken CBD Stent – Managed with Laparoscopic CBD Exploration Clinical Background: • A 60year-old female presented with recurrent upper abdominal pain, jaundice, and intermittent fever with chills. • Past history revealed an ERCP with CBD stent placement for choledocholithiasis performed 3years earlier. The stent was not removed or replaced as scheduled. Evaluation: • Blood investigations: leukocytosis, elevated bilirubin, and raised alkaline phosphatase. • Ultrasound & MRCP: dilated common bile duct with a fractured/retained CBD stent and associated stones.
