Thousands of farmers took to the streets in the city on tractors, having been angered by laws that they say help large, private buyers at the expense of producers. Many of them have been camping on the outskirts of the city since November. Amid violent clashes, a protester was confirmed dead, with dozens more injured. Police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
