Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station wind speed road tests. This 9 year old weather station is tested for displayed wind speed accuracy. The Vantage Pro2 wireless weather station, along with a Davis Weather Wizard wired weather station, is mounted on my pickup truck and put through a test. Air flow around the truck appears to interfere with the wind speed as seen by the Weather Wizard and that is shown with the lower displayed wind speeds. Another test with the two anemometers interchanged is necessary to double check the results. However, the Vantage Pro2 displayed wind speed tracked the vehicle displayed speedometer speed very closely. This is the second wind speed tests done on the road with the pickup truck.
