By the time we arrived in Lucerne for the 3rd and 4th days of our 15-day Swiss adventure—fresh from exploring Zurich—the journey had already been unforgettable. But February in Lucerne felt like stepping into a snow globe gently shaken by the Alps. ❄️ A Fairytale Beginning – Kapellbrücke Our first stroll led us across the iconic Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), its 14th-century wooden beams stretching gracefully over the Reuss River. Snow rested delicately along the roofline, and the old triangular paintings inside seemed to whisper stories of Lucerne’s medieval past. Standing beside the Water Tower, we watched the river glide beneath us, framed by pastel buildings and distant white peaks. February’s crisp air made everything feel sharper, quieter, more magical. 🚤 Across the Winter Waters – Lake Lucerne One of the most serene moments of our stay was a boat ride across Lake Lucerne. The water mirrored the surrounding snow-draped mountains so perfectly it felt like sailing between two skies. Church spires and chalet-lined shores drifted past as we sipped warm drinks on deck, wrapped in scarves and awe. The calmness of the lake in winter carried a peacefulness that’s hard to describe—only experience. 🏔️ Into the Clouds – Mount Titlis If Lucerne was a snow globe, Mount Titlis was the grand crescendo. The journey up—via cable cars climbing higher into a white wilderness—was thrilling in itself. At the summit, the world turned brilliantly alpine. Snowfields stretched endlessly, the sky impossibly blue. Walking across the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe’s highest suspension bridge, was equal parts exhilarating and humbling. Beneath us: icy depths. Around us: panoramic Alpine majesty. We explored the glacier cave, its blue ice tunnels glowing like something from another planet. It was winter at its most dramatic and beautiful. 🌆 Old Town Evenings & Alpine Charm Back in Lucerne’s Old Town, cobblestone streets glowed under soft golden lights. We wandered past frescoed buildings, cozy cafés, and boutique shops, occasionally stopping for Swiss chocolate or a steaming plate of rösti. The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming—less crowded in February, allowing us to truly savor the city’s rhythm. A quiet walk along the Musegg Wall offered sweeping views over Lucerne’s rooftops and the surrounding Alps, the sunset painting the snow in blush tones. Lucerne felt like the heart of our Swiss journey—a perfect blend of history, lake serenity, and alpine adventure. After the cosmopolitan elegance of Zurich, these two days immersed us fully in Switzerland’s storybook beauty. And with 11 more days of our adventure ahead, we left Lucerne feeling both grateful and exhilarated, already certain it would remain one of the most magical chapters of our 15-day Swiss escape. 00:00 Intro 00:17 Day 3, Leaving Zurich for Lucerne 01:47 Check in Ibis Budget Hotel 03:34 Lake Lucerne boat ride 05:36 Lunch - delicious kebab & smash burgers 06:33 Kapellbrücke Chapel Bridge 09:31 Strolling old town 09:37 Dinner haul from Coop 10:01 Day 4, heading up to Mt Titlis 11:39 Arrived Engelberg 13:30 Getting cable car tickets 15:19 View from the cable car 15:34 Riding Rotair 360 degree rotating cable car 16:15 Glacier cave 15:02 Experiencing powder snow 21:59 Titlis cliff walk 23:41 Lunch with a view 24:05 Snow tubing 26:24 Faschnat festival rehearsals 27:35 Outro Thanks for watching - do give this video a Like and Follow us for more adventure Vlogs 😊 #travel #travelvlog #travelvideo #travelgram #instatravel #wanderlust #adventure #explore #vacation #travelphotography #traveltheworld #traveladdict #traveling #travelblogger #travelbug
