NO POLITICS tonight. As we know, the cost of eggs has skyrocketed above and beyond record levels because of the bird flu epidemic affecting poultry across the country. The good news...sort of...is this gives an excuse to try some "egg-free" recipes for items near and dear to us...especially chocolate cake. This is "wacky cake," a recipe from the Great Depression that uses no eggs or dairy. We'll be making this and (hopefully) other recipes in cast iron tonight, as we gather on YouTube Live to have sone fun and escape the chaos engulfing the country...and the whole world.
