Hitchhiking With Kurdish People In Eastern Turkey (Autostop) 🇹🇷

Gevas to Tatvan was on the travel itinerary for the day. We had been camping next to the side of the highway with no public transport available, so naturally we decided to hitchhike. It only took us a few minutes and a few passed cars until two friends from Diyarbakir stopped to pick us up. They were heading home which turned out to be several hours further west of our destination in Tatvan. Once we arrived in Tatvan we still had a one hour walk until we reached our campsite on the shores of Lake Van. Instead of having a full lunch we stopped to have our favorite desert Kunefe before starting our walk. Along the way, we met many friendly characters in the city of Tatvan, leaving us with a great impression of the city. 🇹🇷
