This small town in Sumatra is tucked away in the hilly ranges in the middle of the island, not too far from the more popular Bukit Lawang. It is a beautiful place, with plenty of nature and pleasant climate to go with it as well! In this video, I walk about Gunung Sibayak, a dormant volcano, and speak to the friendly locals who are always more than happy to welcome you to their town :) Amidst me not bringing water on the trek, and craving the town's fantastic strawberries, this is an adventure to not be missed. Indonesia is much more than Bali and Java, and I hope this video gives you a window into one of the country's most underrated destinations.
