The Wooden Spoon veterans' rugby team has recorded a moving rendition of the Green Fields of France, the noted anti-war song in aid of raising money for the Children's Charity of Rugby, and to respect the memory of all the service men and women who gave their lives in WW1 for the world that we live in today. The 40-strong squad first performed the song whilst on tour at the Tournoi Rugby De Armistice in Compiègne, France, on 11 November 2018. After the song went viral on Facebook the idea to record the song professionally back in the UK was born. In just three weeks the song was recorded, produced and available on iTunes and Spotify! 100 years on from the signing of the Armistice, which ended WW1 this songs stands as a poignant reminder to the brave men and women that fought for us, and all profits go to a fantastic children's charity.
