It's basically only one section that essentially uses to same left hand fingerings first on the A and E string, then on the D and A strings to a beautiful effect. As with a lot of Ernie Carpenter's music this one is a little crooked, but feels surprisingly natural. It ends up looking more complicated than it is on music notation because of bar length changes. In the music notation I've elected to write this one out with two bars of 4/4 followed by one bar of 2/4 and two bars of 4/4 again in each line. But when I'm listening to the melody I tend to count a phrase of 5 and then a phrase of 4. Whatever works! Try counting along.
