live-Recording / world premiere: 05.12.2025, Frankfurt/Main "mach kaputt, was dich kaputt macht" #2 / Stadtbücherei Frankfurt performed by Broken Frames Syndicate as part of the concert-series "mach kaputt, was dich kaputt macht" (engl.: break what’s breaking you). _________________ The conceptual concert series aims to open up a space for socio-political dialogue, a space for listening to each other and debating different positions. Inspired by the German punk rock band Ton Steine Scherben, we ask the question: “What is breaking us and our society?” Six composers have responded to this question and, together with the musicians of the Broken Frames Syndicate, present musical and political statements. In a relaxed concert atmosphere, we want to use these world premieres to highlight new perspectives on complex issues and to spark conversation. In politically turbulent times, we want to place our art and music in the context of current debates. We invite you to listen and reflect, and see a concert as a place for enriching discussions and exchanges of opinion. _________________ Broken Frames Syndicate (www.brokenframessyndicate.com) Violin — William Overcash Viola – Laura Hovestadt Cello — Nathan Watts Flute — Katrin Szamatulski Clarinet — Moritz Schneidewendt _________________ Video — Sophia Igel Audio — Tobias Hagedorn _________________ Thank you to our collaboration partners and supporters: Stadtbücherei Frankfurt and Frankfurter Gesellschaft für Neue Musik (fgnm.e.V.)
