The First Video I Ever Made (Midnight Shopper)

Here it is, the very first video I ever shot. I was 18 years old, and this was my first time behind the camera. I'm surprised I actually managed to get some pretty interesting shots. I shot this in 1986 with my friend Chris, using his parents' VHS camcorder. It was a huge, heavy 2-piece system with a giant camera that connected to really heavy VHS deck that I had to carry over my shoulder. And it was defective. The microphone was broken so we had no sound, and every time we cut, the tape's tracking got all messed up. So I had to carefully recapture every shot one by one and re-cut it here just for you guys that's why some shots are still pretty messed up. And originally Chris & I had put in James Brown's song "Cold Sweat" as the soundtrack. I couldn't put that on here for copyright reasons, so I just replaced it with a fun royalty free song by Kevin MacLeod. So I hope you enjoy my friend Chris in the starring role of Midnight Shopper!
