In the heart of winter, I walked 416 kilometers along the Polish coastline — completely alone. This documentary follows my 18-day winter hike along the Baltic Sea, as a solo female Dutch nomad, carrying everything I needed on my back and trusting only my body, my mind, and the path ahead. This journey had everything. Happiness and sadness. Joy and loneliness. Gratefulness and fear. Exhaustion, anxiety, empowerment and deep inspiration. 👉Support The Writing Traveler ❤ ✅Patreon: / thewritingtraveler ✅Paypal: https://paypal.me/nynke888?country.x=... ✅Buy me a coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/nynkenic... I walked through rain, storms, snow and ice, with temperatures dropping as low as –18°C, sometimes feeling more like an Arctic expedition than a coastal hike. For the first time in my life, I experienced snow on the beach — endless white shores, an icy sea, frozen lakes, silent forests and national parks transformed into another world. Even the sand dunes of Słowiński National Park felt like snowy mountains. The Polish seaside, so crowded in summer, became silent, empty and almost mystical in winter. For days, I met hardly anyone. Just me, the wind, the sea, and my thoughts. I walked 20–35 km every day, passing sleepy seaside villages and towns like Łeba, Ustka and Kołobrzeg, crossing forests, frozen landscapes and endless beaches. This journey required not only physical strength, but mental strength — learning to sit with loneliness, to face anxiety, to leave comfort zones, and to listen deeply to my inner voice. This film is not just about hiking. It’s about: – solo female travel – walking through fear – learning from loneliness – conscious living – letting go and saying goodbye – following your heart – finding clarity in silence Sometimes, when we walk far enough — we don’t just move through landscapes. We move closer to ourselves.
