MAC have much to offer on the eyeshadow front. Good strong pigment for the most part and a great colour selection. What they lack are matte shades (which in my opinion should be more). Almost all MAC shimmer shades are beautiful and go on smoothly (with the exception of lustre - which i find grainy). Make Up For Ever eyeshadows like MAC have a large colour selection and pigment wise the MATTE shades really do pack a punch. What they lack however are a good strong colour selection of lighter shimmer shadows. The ones they do have often times have pigment issues (meaning, you need to really BUILD up the colour) which is frustrating. The darker the colour (shimmer wise) the better the pay off. Its only the light shades which seem to have issues. I have bought Lemon Shimmer eyeshadow from MUFE three times and each time i've had issues. So i don't think it was a bad batch! To end i think both companies are excellent for eyeshadows if you want bright matte strong colour payoff then you cannot go wrong with MUFE (note - matte colours have strong colour fall out also) if you're looking for easy to blend light shimmery eyeshadows MAC are your best bet.
