The Bengaluru metro pillar collapse incident that is becoming the key point of criticism against the BJP, claimed 2 lives on January 10. The under-construction metro pillar collapsed near Nagavara on the outer ring road in Bengaluru. Taking a swipe at the BJP over the ‘40 per cent commission’ controversy, Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar labelled the incident a result of the same. Congress leader Sowmya Reddy blamed BJP’s negligence and corruption as the culprit behind the accident.
