Females tend to be slightly smaller and lighter than males. The Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla was bred to have a dense coat that will protect it from bad weather conditions and indeed, the Wirehaired Vizsla has a very dense, close lying, wiry and strong coat. The undercoat is water repellent. This dog is famous for their pronounced eyebrows and harsh beard, which gives them determined and kinda wise expression.
