From the misty mountains to the crashing waves! 🌊 In today’s video, we are visiting two of the most photographed landmarks in Indonesia. We start our day in the cool highlands of Bedugul to see the "Floating Temple" on the lake, and we end it with a magical sunset at the famous rock formation temple in the sea. Join us for a day of culture, history, and incredible views! 📍 Locations featured in this video: ⛰️ Ulun Danu Beratan Temple (Bedugul): Located 1,200 meters above sea level, this temple was built in 1633 to honor Dewi Danu, the goddess of the lake. It is famous for its "meru" towers that look like they are floating on the calm water of Lake Beratan. The air here is crisp and cool—a huge change from the heat of the coast! 🌅 Tanah Lot Temple (Tabanan): One of Bali's most important sea temples, perched on a massive rock formation just off the coast. Legend says it is guarded by holy sea snakes at the base. We explore the markets, receive a holy water blessing at the rock base (low tide only!), and watch the sun dip below the Indian Ocean. Travel Tips: • Ulun Danu: Go early (before 10 AM)! The fog usually rolls in by the afternoon and covers the mountains. Also, bring a light jacket—it can get chilly up here! • Tanah Lot: You can only walk out to the temple base during low tide. Check the tide chart before you go if you want the holy water blessing. • Dress Code: Both are active religious sites. You must wear a sarong and sash (usually included with your ticket) to enter the temple grounds.
