Hurdy Gurdy Man from Donovan drum cover. Triggering the British Rock kit from Drum Masters2. As of this posting have not found another drum cover on YT of this song. DISCLAIMER: I DON'T CONDONE THIS KIND OF DRUMMING AND BELIEVE THE PHRASE OF THE MELODY SHOULD RESOLVE BEFORE TAKING A DRUM FILL WHICH REALLY SHOULD SET UP THE NEXT SECTION OF THE SONG. THIS DRUMMING IS AN EXAMPLE OF "OVERPLAYING", SO KIDS DON'T TRY THIS ON THE GIG, I THEREFORE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT GET HURT PLAYING THIS FORM OF DRUMMING - USE AT YOUR RISK! : D THE DRUMMING VIEWS EXCLUSIVELY EXPRESSED ARE THOSE OF THE ORIGINAL DRUMMER AND NOT THE OWNER OF THIS CHANNEL. it's been rumored that Jimmy Page is the guitar player and John Bonham on drums on the session. However, I found the following on a Clem Cattini web page stating who played what on the session: Hurdy Gurdy Man - Donovan Funny I should be asked about "Hurdy Gurdy Man". I spoke to John Paul Jones who played bass on it and was the MD. The guitar player was Alan Parker. American Web sites say that John Bonham and Jimmy Page played on it. This is absolute Bullshit as JPJ said. This is the e-mail sent BY JPJ. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I have been contacted by Clem Cattini with regard to Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man I would like to confirm that the musicians on the record were as follows Donovan Accoustic Guitar John Paul Jones Arrangement/Musical Director and Bass Guitar Alan Parker Lead (electric) Guitar Clem Cattini Drums No other musicians were involved in this session The session was produced by Mickie Most and engineered by Eddie Kramer.
