Volos Greece 4K Autumn Afternoon Grand City Walk - DJI Pocket 3 Cinematic Walking Tour

Join me on this grand walking tour through the vibrant streets of Volos, a city steeped in history and surrounded by the natural beauty of both mountain and sea. Our journey begins at the iconic bronze sculpture of the mythological Centaurus, located at the eastern entrance of the city. This marks the start of our exploration as we head north, passing next to the tranquil Goritsa Hill with Pelion, the mountain of the Centaurs, towering in the distance. At 5:40, we pass by the Volos Municipal Swimming Pool, a popular local sports facility. Soon after, at 8:40, we encounter the Volos National Stadium. As we venture further, we find ourselves in the charming neighbourhood of Nea Dimitriada, walking along Agiou Dimitriou Street. At 13:40, we arrive at the Agios Dimitrios Church, a significant spiritual and cultural landmark in the area. This church was founded in 1963 by the late Metropolitan Damaskinos of Demetrias and inaugurated in 1975 by Metropolitan Christodoulos of Demetrias, who later became the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. Our walk continues toward the Anavros Stream, reaching its bridge at 21:40. This area acts as a gateway, connecting the Nea Dimitriada neighbourhood with the Analipsi district. Walking along Analipseos Street, we pass by local shops and residential areas until we encounter the impressive Church of the Ascension of Christ at 34:00. At 38:30, we turn left onto K. Kartali Street, one of the city's main shopping thoroughfares, filled with a variety of local businesses and pedestrians enjoying their day. By 49:00, we reach Dimitriados Street, the heart of the city center, alive with shoppers, locals, and visitors enjoying coffee at the many cafes that line the street. Continuing our walk, we catch a glimpse of the serene Agios Konstantinos Park at 55:00, then turn onto Polymeri Street, another vibrant street filled with small shops that serve the local community in the Agios Konstantinos area. At 1:09:40, we arrive at the Achilopouleio General Hospital of Volos, the main healthcare institution in the city, before heading towards Anavros Park. Here, we pass by the Athanasakeio Archaeological Museum, one of the city’s most important cultural landmarks, known for its extensive collection of ancient Greek artifacts. We conclude our walk back at Anavros, where, just before finishing, we encounter a curious kitten that briefly makes an appearance on camera (out of focus).
