Brantford police investigating overnight shooting & stabbing at 2 separate locations

Brantford police are busy this morning with two separate investigations- a shooting and a stabbing. Police are investigating an overnight shooting outside of a Brantford store that sells magic mushrooms. An area near FunGuyz Magic Mushroom store at 230 Murray Street is currently closed off after police found evidence of multiple shots fired at the business. Calls about gun shot sounds came in to Brantford police around 2 a.m. Police say that no one was inside the store at the time of the shooting and that shell casings were found nearby. No injuries have been reported at this time and police are working to identify any possible suspects. I's still unclear if they fled on foot or in a vehicle but that's all being determined during the investigation. Meantime, about 10 minutes from that location, Brantford police are investigating after a man with multiple serious stab wounds showed up at Brantford Hospital shortly after 3 a.m. There are no details on suspects at this time either. Constable Adil Khalqi says police are working to determine where the stabbing happened. There were a few different scenes that police were processing, but it's all been taken down now. Police continue to investigate both overnight crimes and are asking the public to check their surveillance cameras for any activity.
