ZwickRoell has been active in the field of rubber and elastomer testing for decades. ZwickRoell testing machines have supported many technical developments and are still an important tool in research and development today. Automated tensile tests on rubber are used primarily in material characterization on standard specimens, as well as component-related measurements such as those on tires. For the automated tensile test, the user fills the specimen magazine in advance with the rubber specimens to be tested. The specimen data (ID number, width, thickness, ...) are entered on the PC. In barcode operation, this step can be omitted. After starting the system, specimen feeding, testing and disposal of the specimen residues run automatically. After all samples have been tested, the magazine can be refilled or replaced by an already filled magazine insert.
