A lawsuit filed by Rebeckkah McClelland against the Redding Police Department is advancing toward a trial in July. McClelland alleges that former officer Jacob Provencio engaged in misconduct during a DUI stop in 2020. Provencio, who left the department under unclear circumstances in 2023, had previously faced multiple complaints resulting in lawsuits that have cost the department over $140,000.
