Former adult film star Devyn Michaels was found guilty today of murdering and beheading her ex-boyfriend, Johnathan Willette, in Las Vegas. On August 7, 2023, Michaels killed 46-year-old Willette as he was moving into her home. Prosecutors proved that Michaels clubbed Willette over the head while he was lying on his stomach receiving a massage, then decapitated him using a knife and power saw. His head has never been found. At the time of the murder, Michaels was married to Deviere Willette—Johnathan's son from a previous relationship. The marriage was allegedly for "convenience and insurance," but evidence showed they had been carrying on an affair for years while Michaels was dating Johnathan. Prosecutors argued that Michaels killed Johnathan because she was unhappy with how quickly he was moving in with her and their two daughters. She feared his presence would disrupt the home life she had established with Deviere. The defense attempted to blame Deviere for the murder, claiming he killed his father out of fear of losing Devyn and their home. However, cell phone evidence placed Deviere at home during the murder while Devyn's and Johnathan's phones traveled together.
