I believe in the Spiritual realm. I believe in Spiritual warfare. When I got the opportunity to do a few songs in this auditorium, I wanted to remind any evil spirits that may have been given dominion here, that they’ve already lost, and He lives. Here is Because He Lives live from the FMC Auditorium. Here is a bit of the History from Erik Botsford.. “Formerly known as the United States Narcotic Farm, or “Narco”, the auditorium was used in the music side of their attempted recovery. Jazz and drugs in the 1940’s went hand in hand, so Jazz giants like Chet Baker, Howard McGhee, Benny Green, Red Rodney, Sonny Rollins, Todd Dameron, and Jackie McLean were housed there. Since the goal was recovery, many more in the nation traveled to Lexington to check themselves in for an opportunity to play with them on this stage for hours a day. They would host public events so anyone could come enjoy the music and dance. As the years went on, Inmate bands performed there, movie showings in more recent history, and more. I’m unsure of when, but water damage and the hand of time took over. Finding funding to bring it back to its former glory took a backseat to more important measures and it is left in the state that you see it today. A forgotten relic of the music culture formed within the rarely seen walls of Lexington history.” Video sponsored by American Roofing Video by Cade Holcomb
