Dawat-e-Islami is a global non-political, religious movement dedicated to spreading the teachings of Islam in accordance with the Qur’an and Sunnah, following the path of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jama’ah. Founded in 1981 in Karachi, Pakistan, by Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri, the movement has grown into an international organization with centers in over 80 countries. Its mission is to reform individuals and society by promoting love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, encouraging the observance of Shari‘ah, and guiding Muslims to adopt Sunnah in their daily lives. Dawat-e-Islami runs thousands of madrasas (religious schools), Jamia-tul-Madina (Islamic universities), and Madrasa-tul-Madina (Qur’an learning centers) around the world. The movement also uses modern platforms such as Madani Channel (a 24/7 Islamic TV channel), online courses, mobile apps, and social media to deliver authentic Islamic knowledge. Its work covers spiritual training, social welfare, relief efforts, and educational projects, all with the aim of creating a peaceful, righteous society.
