Place Turkey, in a large roaster. Gently separate the skin of the turkey from the flesh using scissors to help get it started. Continue with using your hands going in through the bottom of the breast and working up along both breast halves and the thighs. Using your hands, rub butter directly on the turkey meat underneath the skin all over. Drizzle olive oil onto the turkey. Add generously on top of turkey all the seasonings. Place into oven. About every hour you will want to baste the turkey, for the first couple of hours. Baste the turkey by applying hot liquids, such as pan drippings, butter, or sauces, to the turkey while it cooks. Basting can help keep the turkey moist and add flavor, and can result in a golden, crispy skin. After about 2 1/2-3 hours turn the oven up to 350°F and continue cooking the turkey. Baste the turkey every 30-45 minutes. Don't baste to often because you don't want to be opening the oven too often. Basting too much can make the skin streaky. After cooking for about 4 to 4 1/2 hours check the internal temperature of the turkey. You want this to be at 170F. Take the turkey out when it is done and cut into slices with an electric knife. Place onto a serving platter.
