I just think that it only works for certain things, and that for any serious language learner, there are 50 better things you could be doing. The Duolingo streak is just a way of getting you to use it. Trust me, I had a 1000 day streak. The Duolingo is very angry that I dropped it. Additionally, Duolingo reset a lot of people's true in a bid to get us all to use it more. YES, Duolingo are about selling ads, and not about learning a language. It takes FOREVER to do my French activities and it does NOTHING given how 'difficult' the content is, it’s STILL super basic and, in order to get it up to my difficulty, surprise surprise, I need to use the app MORE, so they can show me more ads. This does not help your French or your Spanish. Duolingo doesn't teach you languages. Language learning videos, tips and techniques!    • How To Learn Languages   _ My sound is so much better in my newer videos due to my RØDE Podmic. RØDE is an Australian company and the only reason you don't see their microphones EVERYWHERE is that certain other brands spend more on marketing. I have recorded music with my podmic, and I have a music degree. That's how much I trust the audio quality.
