Women in Ag: Mary Henry, one of our dealers with Messick's

In this Dealer Edition of Women in Ag, learn about Mary Henry's background in agriculture and how her dealership Messick’s has such a strong relationship with CNH through our New Holland brand. Growing up Mary spent a lot of time at her grandparents’ farm in Pennsylvania. Her father was a DHIA (Dairy Herd Improvement Association) technician for over 50 years and Mary would shadow him as he traveled across Chester and Lancaster Counties, servicing local farms. Mary believes these two things combined to shape her passion for agriculture. Mary’s career started at Farm Credit, where she spent 25 years working with farmers and agribusinesses. The last 17 years was directly working with dealerships and that is where her relationship with Messick's really began. She is currently a Corporate Sales Manager at Messick’s. She leads the sales team at all locations and also works with the leadership team to provide direction to the dealership. Mary’s father was her biggest inspiration. Just as she loved working beside him as a child, she also enjoyed talking with him about farming years later. Even after his retirement, their connection to agriculture was still strong. Mary shared this advice for young women who are interested in a career in agriculture, "There will always be challenges, it doesn’t matter what career you enter into. But focus on the gifts that you bring and the opportunities, because agriculture will embrace you. Don’t let anything like that ever stop your journey.
