By the time he was in third grade, he had quickly passed his grade exams and was a "precocious kid" who made it onto a mixed middle school team. However, by fifth grade, his progress slowed and he suffered an early setback. Meanwhile, in the living rooms of our homes, he was a music nerd who prided himself on winning 90% of the Japanese music intro quizzes "Quiz Do Re Mi Fa Don!" On weekends, he would borrow and record pop songs, sourcing information from Oricon and AM radio. He borrowed so many songs that store clerks memorized them and whispered, "Here we go again!" He displayed such a collecting habit. In middle school, he became obsessed with hard rock and heavy music and tried his hand at guitar, but quickly gave up. However, he turned to vocals, leveraging his "three and a half octaves" high tone, and in 1997, he joined a mid-sized production company. Let's go back to 1993—he had already begun his career as a DJ. After studying under a famous DJ for a year and a half, he began working freelance in late 1995. He played at some of Tokyo's biggest venues, including Harajuku's "Glass," Roppongi's "VELFARRE CLUB SPACE" and "aviss," Aoyama's "CLUB M," Shibuya's "deros," Azabu-Juban's "Mission," Nishi-Azabu's "RING," Shibaura's "VENOUS TOKYO," and Ginza's "TAHJI," performing 150 shows a year as a resident and guest. He has appeared in magazines and on television, making a name for himself as a rare "all-genre DJ" who can compete in a single genre. He has performed in over 100 DJ booths, including one-offs. In 2010, he opened Sound Bar W in Mishuku. In 2013, he moved to Sangenjaya and rebuilt it as a DJ bar where you can also enjoy Nagoya cuisine. He also devotes himself to nurturing young talent, establishing himself as a "place-maker." His momentum continues, as he opened a Japanese restaurant in 2016 and a personal training gym in 2018. He continues to expand his horizons as a "hyperactive creator" spanning music, food, and fitness. Hip hop, R&B, New Jack Swing, house, trance, soul, eurobeat, heavy metal, hard rock, J-pop, pop, and jazz— He's a master of them all.
