🔥 New stock day on the VFC AKS‑74U — surprise upgrade after SHOT Show I filmed this after buying a new stock for the AKS‑74U build. I’d been running the Ace Tech Volcano skeletonized stock, which was light and worked well. But at SHOT Show 2026 I stopped by Midwest Industries and saw their Alpha series stock in person. I’d originally written it off as too bulky or not my style, but seeing it up close changed my mind. The stock was sold out at MI, so I bought it from Brownells instead. It’s pricey—about $275–290 for the real‑steel version, which is almost half the cost of my replica—but the look and feel made me pull the trigger. I install it on the AKS‑74U, swap off the Ace Tech, and ask you what you think: love it, hate it, would you run it on your replica? In this video I also run through the other parts on the build, like the OG Carbon Works suppressor up front and the KPYK hand grip and top rail, for context on how the new stock fits the whole style. --- 🔗 Links to the exact parts and related gear • Midwest Industries product info and details: https://midwestindustriesinc.com/alph...
