The Power of the Word - Islamic Calligraphy The first Quranic revelation was "Iqra" or "Read" and therefore the first Islamic visual art form was the beautification of the word, or Islamic calligraphy. Featuring an excerpt from the film Islamic Art: Mirror of the Invisible World (Narrated by Susan Sarandon) this presentation will take audiences through origin and development of this art form.
