Vanessa Hudgens Reveals What Zac Efron Relationship Taught Her

What’s up guys, it’s Sussan Mourad back here on Clevver News, and right now we’re about to take a walk down memory lane AKA down the halls of East High. Ok, so although Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron haven’t dated since their High School Musical days, we can’t help but wonder what dating Zac was ACTUALLY like. So it started just like any other normal high school fling -- you’re day-dreaming in chemistry class, you look around the room and all of a sudden, BAM! Zac Efron is staring longingly back at you, and so your love story begins. Ok, so that’s only how we hope it would go down, but for Vanessa, this was a reality. She recently spoke out and spilled the beans on the ‘Awards Chatter’ podcast, where she revealed that she and Zac met while auditioning for the leading roles of Troy and Gabriella, and she literally DID see Zac during their chemistry test and thought, “Oh my God, this guy is so cute.” Vanessa went on to detail the pressure after the success of HSM and how it “blew up”, but that it was her relationship with Zac that helped guide her through the chaos. She said QUOTE, “It started off really organically, and I could not have been more grateful to have that relationship at the time. The movie was this massive phenomenon all of a sudden and all eyes were on me…I had someone to lean on who was going through it as well.” But as with any relationship comes hardships, as Vanessa also recalled a time where the two were fighting on set… in which the movie’s director Kenny Ortega joked that filming would be ruined because of it. She said QUOTE, “I remember one time we did have a fight, and it was while we were at rehearsals, and I remember Kenny Ortega coming around the corner with the most concerned look on his face like, ‘Oh no, is our movie going to fall apart right now?’” Thankfully the two were able to put their differences aside for the time being and continue as though they were living out of a high school romcom. Vanessa said, “I pride myself on being a professional, so I was like, ‘That aside, we are going to move forward and do what we need to do’…and we sorted it all out. I think because I was so young, I think that relationship stabilized me.” So while we reminisce over Zanessa and what they could’ve been, we’re just happy to know that the two ended their relationship calmly and maturely. A source told E! News at the time of their split that, “It’s nothing dramatic. There’s no third party involved.” All good things must come to an end, right?
