Here’s a standard I’ve always loved. There’s a favorite solo Monk version I’ve been listening to for years, but it wasn’t until I heard the Nelson Riddle arrangement of Frank Sinatra singing it (from a record called Close to You) that I was inspired to tackle it on the guitar. Sinatra’s key of G turned out to be well-suited to the guitar, and it’s such a beautiful track that one listen was all it took to get me going. (My apologies for the less than perfect syncing of the audio and video on this clip. My lovely digital audio and video recording apps must have lost track of some ones and zeros somewhere along the way...)
